Intro

I ranked 22 Youtubers in five different tiers from S to F. Obviously it's impossible to rank every Youtuber and every type of content creator on one tier list, so I chose the Youtubers that first came to mind when thinking about broader, more general content creators. As a Youtube connoisseur with over 35 years of experience I can definitively say that my tier list is based and cool.[citation needed]

Realistically speaking, this is more like a recommendation list than a tier list. Hover over each image to expand its content.

Arslan's Youtuber Tier List

S Tier
These youtubers go above and beyond for their fans

Markiplier is an iconic Youtube personality and gamer.

He mostly plays horror games and consistently adds on to his "THREE SCARY GAMES" playlist where he plays three indie horror games each episode.

He is also known for his original miniseries such as "Who Killed Markiplier?" and "A Heist With Markiplier" where we see "Darkiplier" and "Warfstache" along with other versions of Markiplier.

He swears but is still a wholesome youtuber and frequently streams for charity fundraisers.

Clearly S Tier for his creativity in content creating. Also for the memes.

Michael Stevens from Vsauce is an educational youtuber known for asking and answering interesting questions such as "Where Do Deleted Files Go?" and "Should You Eat Yourself?"

He created and directed the Youtube Red series Mind Field where each episode describes some interesting phenomenon or group of experiments done in a style similar to a documentary

I would describe his personality as a bit quirky but noticeably passionate about his videos. S Tier.

DanTDM is the first gaming youtuber I've watched. Extremely wholesome, never swears or gets overly mad.

He also created the Youtube Red series DanTDM Creates a Big Scene which was pretty cool because his pugs were animated characters.

He is best known for his Minecraft mod showcase videos and The Escapists from a while ago, and he still uploads frequently on various games.

MrBeast6000 is one of the most popular non-gaming youtubers.

In MrBeast's videos, Jimmy and his friends donate large amounts of money to surprise people or play challenges like "Last to Leave $800,000 Keeps It" where the title isn't clickbait.

He uses his revenue from Youtube and merchandise to support his philanthropy, which continues off screen as the owner of a food bank.

MrBeast also has side channels like MrBeast Gaming and Beast Philanthropy. S Tier for MrBeast's unique content.

CGP Grey is another educational Youtuber who makes podcast-like videos on history, politics, technology, and more.

CGP Grey is also known for creating the podcast Hello Internet.

A lot of research goes into his videos before making them, and the animation is simple but clean. S Tier for enjoyable content.

The Game Theorists is one of four channels by Matthew Patrick, better known as MatPat. In his videos, he primarily focuses on using real-world science in the context of video games to prove a shocking conclusion about the game or its characters. For example how much weight can Steve from Minecraft carry.

He also spends a lot of time searching for clues in games that reveal part of the game's story in order to piece together the game's lore and background. Let's be honest, nobody would have understood the Five Nights at Freddy's lore without this channel's help.

His other channels include The Film Theorists about movies and shows, The Food Theorists about foods and restaurants, and GT Live where Matpat livestreams playing different games.

His editing team is great and helps him produce content for all four channels many times a week. Matpat likes to throw in a lot of jokes wherever he can in his script which are said by the animated paper cutout of himself in his videos. S Tier.

A Tier
These youtubers create original and enjoyable content

The TED-Ed channel, not to be confused with the TED channel for TED Talks, is full of animated short educational videos that might ask interesting questions (like Vsauce) and explain the answers in a way that's easy to understand.

There are also a lot of videos on different puzzles/riddles, logical fallacies, and mythology that are made interesting by the different animation styles across videos.

The narrator has an instantly recognizable voice, and the animation style is simple but not too simple like the uncanny Facebook art style.

Still, sometimes the mythology videos aren't 100% accurate, and sometimes the riddle videos take a puzzle that already existed and changes its name, making it harder to find the original. A Tier for fulfilling content.

Penguinz0, better known as Cr1TiKaL or just Charles, is a reaction youtuber and gamer with more mature content.

He makes videos on anything, really, from controversial social media posts to Russian slapping competitions, scams and NFT's, or his own "Moist Meter" reviews of games and shows.

He's very good at stretching a topic with his own sarcastic comments and obscure references. Honestly I would watch him talk about literally anything.

Many say he looks like Jesus. A Tier, possibly God Tier.

Kurzgesagt - In A Nutshell is a channel like CGP Grey and Vsauce that explains certain phenomena in nature such as space, black holes, nukes, genes, and even COVID-19 in an interesting infographic style.

Their videos are known for being well fact-checked and meaningful. I really love the animation, which is colorful, detailed, and for some reason uses funny birds as characters.

A Tier, possibly S Tier, but I haven't watched this channel enough.

Pewdiepie really needs no explanation as the most popular gaming Youtuber with over 100 million subscribers and over 28 billion views. He also makes podcast-like video discussions, vlogs, reactions, and most importantly meme reviews.

Everyone should know about his battle against T-Series, an Indian Youtube channel run by a large company that suddenly gained massive influence and subscribers from India. T-Series managed to succeed in dethroning Pewdiepie as the most subscribed Youtube channel. Felix from Pewdiepie losing his place as most subscribed to a corporation is really ironic on a platform called Youtube.

Still though, I can only rate him as A Tier because I haven't watched much on his channel.

Veritasium is a channel similar to Vsauce that creates educational videos on science, math, and engineering. His slogan is "an element of truth."

His videos are genuinely interesting and combine animation with real life video and commentary, which makes videos like Epic Math Duel - How Imaginary Numbers Were Invented stand out.

A Tier, simply said.

Mark Rober is a former engineer at NASA and Apple who makes insane videos on incredible creations from a glitter bomb trap to a T-shirt cannon and an epic parkour course made for squirrels. All by a former NASA engineer.

He also uploaded "SCIENCE CLASS" videos during quarantine where he spends about 30 minutes answering an interesting question and teaching science.

Very cool Youtuber, high A Tier.

B Tier
These youtubers may show up in your recommended feed

Cinema Sins is a movie review channel that makes things simple by rating each film with a "sin" counter which increases every time a plot hole, story inconsistency, or something that just doesn't make sense is found while watching the movie. B Tier for sarcastic commentary and slander.

Surreal entertainment is a channel that creates content so uncanny, it seems surreal, like a meme.

The channel uses characters animated exaggeratingly poorly that play out short but entertaining skits about modern, relevant memes. 🅱 Tier.

Dream is a Minecraft gaming Youtuber. Most people know him for his rapid increase in popularity during quarantine after making his iconic "Minecraft Speedrunner vs. Hunters" videos where he plays Minecraft with his friends.

I enjoy Dream and his friends showing up in other Youtuber's videos and on Twitch, but his Youtube channel has gone stale or at least lost its charm because of the lack of uploads and how the entire channel is just Speedrunner vs. Hunter challenge videos (which wasn't even an original idea from Dream in the first place).

B Tier because I have too many channels in A Tier.

ProZD is a voice actor and casual Youtuber. He is known for his voiceovers and performing various short comedy skits about games in general as well as other content like board game reviews and snack reviews.

Infamous for his ability to recite any scene from Peter Pan from memory.

I like how he uses many recurring characters in his skits like "King Dragon" and "Archibald" but manages to differentiate between them just by wearing a moustache or wielding a prop gun. B Tier.

C Tier
These youtubers are also pretty cool

Sam from Sam O'Nella Academy is a youtuber who uploads animated videos on history and science described in a sarcastic way.

His animated stick figures that narrate the content are similar to those of other Youtubers like CGP Grey and GradeAUnderA, except drawn a little worse.

Examples of his videos include "Obscure Obsolete Inventions" and "Scandalous Popes of the Middle Ages."

Blackpenredpen is a Youtuber that mainly talks about math in his videos.

In each video he tries to answer a certain math problem and explains each step of the way. He is also iconic for making it interesting by holding a prop and sometimes wearing a costume.

C Tier for interesting math concepts.

TierZoo is an interesting biology Youtuber that treats real life like a video game and creates tier lists of different animals based on their traits and evolutionary advantages, finding out which animals would "fit the meta." It's funny how battles between different animals is commented on like a video game. C Tier.

CalebCity is another comedy Youtuber who makes funny skits by himself that are usually a few minutes each.

His skits are about various exaggerated and ironic tropes like "Being a side character while the smart characters figure everything out" or just "RPG game logic."

C Tier.

F Tier
"Unforgivable"

I've made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement, and I don't expect to be forgiven. I'm simply here to apologize. What we came across that day in the woods was obviously unplanned. The reactions you saw on tape were raw; they were unfiltered. None of us knew how to react or how to feel. I should have never posted the video. I should have put the cameras down and stopped recording what we were going through. There's a lot of things I should have done differently but I didn't. And for that, from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry. I want to apologize to the internet. I want to apologize to anyone who has seen the video. I want to apologize to anyone who has been affected or touched by mental illness, or depression, or suicide. But most importantly I want to apologize to the victim and his family. For my fans who are defending my actions, please don't. I don't deserve to be defended. The goal with my content is always to entertain; to push the boundaries, to be all-inclusive. In the world I live in, I share almost everything I do. The intent is never to be heartless, cruel, or malicious. Like I said I made a huge mistake. I don't expect to be forgiven, I'm just here to apologize. I'm ashamed of myself. I'm disappointed in myself. And I promise to be better. I will be better. Thank you.

Unforgivable for surpassing Pewdiepie, the former most subscribed Youtuber, in subscribers.
