My plant

This webpage is about my snake plant, it recently turned 1 years old (got it sometime in feb)

This is the earliest photo I could find of my plant, it's from late April

In this photo the tallest leaf in the photo is about 14 inches, also when I got the plant it only had 2 leaves. Snake plants grow new leaves every now and then, it's pretty cool

here's another photo from a few months later

This photo is from June

The tallest leaf in this photo is maybe 18 inches, snake plants grow pretty fast if kept in the sun but they also do fine without much sun since they're really resilient plants. Also if you look in the back of the photo you can see of the leaves broke off and I have it in a separate bowl. It's possible to propagate a snake plant through breaking off a leaf or by cutting it off from the root, so you could create an army of snake plants if you wanted to, also , cutting from the root is probably most efficient since I think it would grow faster

here's a picture of the roots of a snake plant
also here's a more in-depth explanation on propagating a snake plant

finally here's my most recent photo of my plant

In this photo the tallest leaf is about 27 inches, the plant hasn't been growing as much since it hasn't been getting as much sun, normally I have it on top of my radiator by the window where it can get sun but I can't put it there now since the radiator is on in the winter. When the weather gets warmer I can put it back there and it'll grow even faster, snake plants can be from 8 inches to 12 feet tall. Also I moved the broken leaf to a yogurt cup thing. It sprouted a small leaf, the snake plant army is in the making....
