Why should you watch anime?
Anime is, all in all, just another form of entertainment, one which many might be skeptical of, under the premise that it's childish
and weird.
But I assure you!
There are quite a few animes out there that are really engaging,
exciting, emotional, etc. And heres always quite the variety to choose from,
so it's more than likely that you'll find something that appeals to you.
Therefore, here are some of my personally favorite anime content that might convince you.
Vivy was the one of the most impressive animes that I've ever watched over quarentine, or in fact, ever.
It's a brief 12 episodes, but each one never failed
to amaze me with it's plot and animation. Vivy takes place in an advanced world, where AI technology has grown immensely,
and androids are more or less a part of society. Vivy, the main character (who is indeed an android),
has to stop the progression of technology before it poses a threat to humanity. Don't be fooled, however: It seems sweet and musical,
but you'll find your healthy dose of fighting and action, as well as themes of beauty and sorrow, right here in Vivy: Flourite
Eye's Song.
#2: Fate Series
Now, the Fate Series is actually a set of many animes all in the same "universe", but all of them are quite exciting.
The premise is that 7 mages will fight over an item called "The Holy Grail", which can grant wishes, and is thus highly
sought after. These 7 mages will summon warriors to fight for them an eliminate their competitors, known as "heroic spirits".
These heroic spirits are really interesting because they're actually figures from our history, like Gilgamesh, Arthur Pendragon,
and Jeanne D'Arc. You can expect a lot of battle, cunning strategy, and epic display of powers in this anime. I'd advise that you start
with Fate: Stay/Night or the Fate: Heaven's Feel movies.
#1: Your Name
Your Name, also known as Kimi No Nawa, is not actually an anime series, but actually a movie. And oh boy, when this movie was released back in 2017, it changed the world.
The movie tells the story of Taki Tachibana and
Mitsuha Miyamizu, and their semi-supernatural
fates that just so happen to intertwine with one another. I happened to watch it myself recently with my friends, and I can safely say that
it got pretty emotional.
I don't want to spoil too much, but theres a little bit of time travel, identity crisis, and a heavy heap of romance.
I can promise you though, this is definitely worth the watch , as you'll no doubt be moved by the emotional story and STUNNING animation.
A cool fight scene from "Vivy: Flourite Eye's Song"
An epic battle from "FGO: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia"
A breathtaking preformance from "Your Name"
