yandhi

Yandhi by Kanye West

in my opinion this album probably ranks among the best of Kanye West's discography and it's a real shame it was never released.
the album leaked a couple of days before it was supposed to release and because of that, he decided to scrap the album entirely.
some of the songs became remastered into his album JESUS IS KING and while that album wasn't horrible i thought it was not
the greatest of works of art. Yandhi had great lyrics and production, and had a lot of nice features, such as Nicki Minaj, Ant Clemons,
Kid Cudi, and Teyana Taylor. lucky for me i have the local files but i always wonder how much better it would've been if it was finished.
my favorite tracks are Alien, City in the Sky, and Chakras. My least favorite is probably Simulation Baptize mostly because it seems out of place
planet her

Planet Her by Doja Cat

i thought this was a great album that proved Doja Cat could stand on the level of already well established artists like SZA. my personal favorite song, while kind of overplayed, is probably Need to Know. it has like 600M streams on spotify so it's definitely not a hidden track or anything but it doesn't rely on any other features to create a radio hit, like they usually do, but it still managed to top the radio charts. i think the album does drag on for a bit, and some songs seem a little too similar/rehashed, but besides that it's very enjoyable
Kids See Ghosts

Kids See Ghosts by Kids See Ghosts

you may be asking -- who is kids see ghosts?? that is one weird name for a person. well you are right i guess because it is not the name of a person. Kids See Ghosts is the name of the duo of Kanye West and Kid Cudi for that one album in 2018. it seems kind of cheap to be using kanye west twice (especially because his instagram is a little too interesting at the moment) but i think this album is too good to leave out. every single track on this album is perfect with the exception of Free (it's still good, just not my favorite). my favorite track would have to be 4th Dimension for the incredible Louis Prima sample (jazz singer from the mid 1900s -- check him out). even though this album is supposed to be a duo, i think it's Kid Cudi that really steals the show, especially on the track Reborn, where he conveys his struggles with rehab, friendships, and life in general. i thought it was a really beautiful song and i recommend it probably the most out of any song i've heard. even though it's supposed to be a hip-hop song, i think it just reaches everyone in a way. 10/10 album.

issue -- i don't have much of a portfolio. i guess I do have this still from Art Appreciation (note: you must be using stuy email or the site won't load)
i haven't really used it all that much though -- mostly because I hated Art Appreciation. i'm not sure if I'll ever use it again,
but in case you want to check out my art from freshman year go ahead.
my personal favorite is the still photo

still

this is taken against some grass at Astoria Park while i held the blue paper behind it.
i thought it was pretty nice.

anyway enough of that. have a photo dump.
