What is a Devil Fruit?

A Devil Fruit is a mysterious and powerful fruit in One Piece that gives the person who eats it a special ability, such as controlling fire, turning into an animal, or stretching like rubber. However, it comes with a major weakness: the eater loses the ability to swim and becomes helpless in water. There are three main types of Devil Fruits: Paramecia (superhuman abilities), Zoan (animal transformations), and Logia (elemental powers).

Logia

	Mera Mera no Mi Used by Ace and Sabo, the Mera Mera no Mi grants its user the power to create, control, and transform into fire at will. It allows for devastating flame-based attacks like fire punches, walls of flame, and even flight through propulsion. The fruit is especially symbolic, as Sabo inherited it to carry on Ace's legacy.
	Pika Pika no Mi Used by Kizaru, the Pika Pika no Mi grants the ability to move at the speed of light and emit powerful laser beams. This Logia-type fruit allows Kizaru to travel instantly across distances and attack with blinding speed. His light-based abilities make him nearly untouchable in combat and visually striking on the battlefield.
	Yami Yami no Mi Used by Blackbeard, the Yami Yami no Mi allows the user to generate and control darkness, a unique form of gravity-based power. Unlike other Logia fruits, it doesn't let the user become intangible-but it can absorb anything into darkness, including physical matter and attacks. Most notably, it gives Blackbeard the terrifying ability to cancel out other Devil Fruit powers by touching his opponent.

Zoan

	Hito Hito no Mi Used by Chopper, the Hito Hito no Mi allows an animal to gain human intelligence, emotions, and the ability to speak. It also grants multiple transformation forms, especially when combined with Chopper's self-developed Rumble Ball. This fruit turns Chopper from an ordinary animal into a skilled doctor and a vital member of the Straw Hat crew.
	Uo Uo no Mi Used by Kaido, the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a massive, azure eastern dragon. With it, Kaido gains the ability to fly, conjure clouds, and unleash devastating elemental attacks like fire blasts and wind scythes. This fruit makes him nearly indestructible and one of the most powerful figures in the One Piece world.
	Ryu Ryu no Mi Used by King, the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon allows him to transform into a powerful prehistoric pteranodon. This Ancient Zoan-type fruit gives him the ability to fly at high speeds and launch devastating aerial attacks. Combined with his Lunarian physiology, King becomes nearly invulnerable and a terrifying force in battle.

Paramecia

	Gomu Gomu no Mi Used by Luffy, the Gomu Gomu no Mi allows his body to stretch like rubber, making him highly resistant to blunt force attacks. This Paramecia-type fruit grants extreme flexibility, elasticity, and strength, which Luffy uses to develop powerful techniques like Gum-Gum Pistol and Gear Fourth. Later revelations show the fruit holds even greater potential than originally believed.
	Hana Hana no Mi Used by Robin, the Hana Hana no Mi allows her to sprout replicas of her body parts-like arms, legs, or eyes-on any surface, including her enemies. This power gives her incredible versatility in both combat and reconnaissance. She often uses it to immobilize opponents, build massive limbs, or extend her senses across wide areas.
	Ope Ope no Mi Used by Law, the Ope Ope no Mi allows him to generate a spherical "room" where he can manipulate anything within it as if performing surgery. He can teleport objects, cut people without harming them, swap personalities, and even remove hearts. Known as the "Ultimate Devil Fruit," it's also rumored to grant eternal youth through a forbidden operation at the cost of the user's life.
